Philanthropy is not merely nor exclusively limited to financial contribution. Sometimes a more powerful impact can be created by giving one’s time, talent and skills to a cause. - Rakesh Bharti Mittal (Vice Chairman & MD Bharti Enterprises & Co and Chairman, Bharti Foundation)
Joining Hands have identified some NGOs where business strategies of some Income Generation Programs, run by beneficiaries (mostly women), can be developed and supported.
Joining Hands aims to bridge the distance between people by providing opportunities to corporate sector to influence positive social change through an exchange of ideas, knowledge and skills. NGOs have the vision but not necessarily the skills, to realize their goals. This need is specially felt in the field of income generation as the beneficiaries do not have the advantage of professional training to help them market their products. Under this program, the volunteers from corporate, who are the experts in their fields, can play a facilitating role. This also gives the organizations and individuals a great learning opportunity and also a chance to contribute to positive social change through capacity building.
