Make a difference day
Joining Hands is promoting 23 October 2010 as “Make a Difference Day” being celebrated by HandOn Network, the volunteer division of Points of Light Institute.
Our strategy is focused on active citizenship and we invite you take active steps to make a difference on 23 October. There are so many ways you could get involved- spread the word around, volunteer, create a project, support a cause you believe in, get involved with a NGO near your area or simply lend a helping hand to the needy.
Do not forget to share your story with us on how you made a difference. All inspiring stories will be acknowledged and find their way into our event report to mark International Day of Volunteering on 5th December as well as shared with HandOn Network. If you create an interesting project, you will get a chance to promote your project and ideas. Not only will this contribution increase visibility of local action, but also ensure the basis for sustainable cooperation in the future.
